This conference was organized by the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe as a part of a series of events taking place during the academic year 2013-2014, dedicated to the analysis of continuity and change in the European Neighbourhood Policy in both its Southern and Eastern dimension.
On 22 November 2013, the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair hosted a conference on the occasion of the publication of a Special Issue of East European Politics entitled "The European Neighbourhood Policy in the Eastern Region: The Practices Perspective", co-edited by Ms Elena KOROSTELEVA, Professor of International Politics at Kent University, Dr Michał NATORSKI, Senior Research Fellow in the ENP Chair, and Dr Licínia SIMÃO, Assistant Professor in International Relations at the University of Coimbra.
During this conference leading European experts discussed the actual achievements and prospects of the Eastern Partnership on the eve of the Vilnius Summit (28-29 November 2013). The conference addressed in a complementary fashion multilateral and bilateral aspects of the Eastern Partnership. In addition to the Introductory Lecture by Professor Elena KOROSTELEVA, the participants addressed during two sessions the dynamics of region-building and sub-regional cross-border cooperation, as well of achievements in the implementation of reforms in Eastern European partner countries in a comparative perspective.
