Dr Olaf OSICA, Director of the Centre for Eastern Studies, came to the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, to give a lecture in the framework of the preparation for the first semester study trip to the Baltic States, entitled "B3 and the unbearable lightness of periphery".
In his presentation, Dr OSICA offered a comparative analysis of each of the Baltic States, as well as the implications of their geopolitical situation. How similar are the Baltic States? Do they share more than a common geographical position? How do they perceive themselves? What are their policy priorities? Do they coordinate their European and international actions? Dr OSICA's lecture shed light on the latter and further interrogations.
