Austrian National Day at Natolin

On 25 October 2019, the Natolin campus started the Hannah Arendt Promotion’s celebration of national days by celebrating the Austrian National Day.

On 26 October 1955, the Austrian Parliament passed the constitutional law on permanent neutrality, which has been celebrated as the Austrian National Day since 1965. In Austria this entails among other events open houses at ministries and public institutions and a presidential address.

At the College of Europe in Natolin, students celebrated with Austrian dishes (the inevitable Schnitzel as well as Käsespätzle and Kaiserschmarrn) prepared by the Natolin Restaurant, contemporary Austrian music and a quiz on the unexpected sides of Austria. The prizes from www.austria.info and the Ambassador of Austria to Poland made the quiz even more exciting.
