La Grande Finale - National Day

On 27 April 2016, the final National Day of this academic year was celebrated in Natolin. A Lithuanian-Polish-Slovakian team keenly provided a show that stood up to the occasion. La Grande Finale was to sum up the year's activities and honor those who rocked the boat throughout the Natolin odyssey. Plus, it was to lift the spirits before the inevitable: exams and Master's thesis submission. Art and sophistication became the weapon of choice in doing so.

Hence, a customized breakfast was served first. Once everybody got their share of scrambled eggs and delicious fresh-produce-stuffed sandwiches made on the spot, a Holi-style fight with colored powder was arranged as stress relief therapy. The lunch marked the beginning of the day's formal section, with pieces of art served next to actual food by Lithuanian, Polish and Slovak waiters all dressed to the nines.

A debate entitled "Europa jest kobietą — Europe Is a Woman" followed. Natolin students had the chance to listen to, and discuss a variety of topics with four distinguished guests, representing different facets of NGO business and activism: Ms Beata FARACIK, Ms Martyna KWIATOWSKA, Ms Agata SKRZYPCZAK, and Ms Marta SZCZEPANIK. The debate was chaired by Dr Wojciech SOSNOWSKI.

The night culminated at the Wild Boar Awards ceremony, sponsored by Polish cider and distinguished personalities of the Natolin campus. The merry company then embarked on a sentimental journey, on board of a classic Ikarus bus, to dance the day's efforts off in Warsaw downtown.
