MENA Regional Day at Natolin

On 21 April 2017, the College of Europe, Natolin campus celebrated the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Day, organized by the students of Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Palestine. The day was marked by cultural activities, traditional music and distinctive gastronomy which raised the spirits of the Orient and Africa at the Natolin campus.

The Natolin restaurant served a wide variety of wonderful classic dishes such as couscous, tajine, hummus and falafel. The musical evening started with the Natolin Choir performing famous songs in both Arabic and Berber. Then, the artist Azzedine TARIFET sang lovely songs of the Maghreb region and the Arab-Polish band called Bukra performed other beautiful songs blending Arabic and Polish compositions. The participants could also discover the traditions of the MENA region through a photo exposition, games, quizzes and henna tattoos.

The event was honored with the presence of Ms Souhila SALHI, First Secretary of the Algerian Embassy to Poland, Ms Amina ACHEMLAL, Counsellor to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to Poland, and Mr Monther SALEEM, Counselor to the Palestinian Embassy to Poland.
