On Friday, 21 October 2022, the Natolin Energy and Climate Nest organized a guest lecture under the theme:
"Has Europe enough gas for winter?"
For this third meeting of the Energy and Climate Nest, the College of Europe in Natolin welcomed Mr Piotr KUŚ, CEO of European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG). Mr KUŚ was invited to present how the proper functioning of the gas transmission operators can affect the EU gas market as well as to assess the preparedness for the upcoming winter season, focusing in the level of the gas storage. In order to provide a better understanding of the energy provisions overview, the actions that the energy gas industry took to ensure gas supplies from non-Russian sources was enumerated.
Mr KUŚ has been ENTSOG's General Director since January 2022. Previously, since 2017, Mr Piotr KUŚ held the position of Deputy Director in the Development Division at GAZ-SYSTEM S.A, operator of the natural gas transmission system in Poland. Mr KUŚ's professional experience includes responsibility in the areas of international cooperation, institutional relations, cooperation with EU institutions and international trade organisations.
