Natolin Representatives participate in the annual event of the "Initiative for Coal Regions in Transition in Western Balkans and Ukraine"

On 27-28 November 2023 the Initiative for Coal Regions in Transition in Western Balkans and Ukraine held it’s annual event in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together some 300 representatives of coal-dependent communities and local authorities, trade unions,  representatives of the civil society, think-tankers, the academia and the principals of the Initiative.

During the discussions of the first day, Mr Marek TABOR, Head of the Executive Education Office at the College of Europe in Natolin, presented the Coal Regions Learning Academy – a comprehensive online training project designed and implemented with the World Bank, to assist stakeholders in Western Balkans and in Ukraine to plan, coordinate and implement just coal transition programmes. The e-learnings comprising the CRLA are available at World Bank’s GOXI platform.

On the second day of the event, Dr Olaf OSICA from the College of Europe in Natolin, moderated a topical discussion on capacity building needs for the process of just coal transition, looking at knowledge gaps and skills necessary for a successful transition.
