Natolin Students Visit OSCE ODIHR in Warsaw | Migration and Human Rights Nest

The Migration and Human Rights Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin was pleased to organise a field visit to the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) in Warsaw.

During the visit, Natolin students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into human rights monitoring and the work of the Migration and Freedom of Movement Unit. The session featured engaging discussions on countering anti-migrant narratives, alongside a broader overview of ODIHR’s activities in promoting human rights and democratic institutions.

A highlight of the visit was an interactive “speed dating” exercise, which enabled students to connect directly with representatives from various units. This format provided a unique opportunity to understand how academic knowledge is applied in practice and to explore potential career paths in the field.

The visit offered valuable exposure to the practical dimensions of human rights work and reinforced the importance of linking academic learning with real-world impact.
