Because Europe is an adventure to be lived
Study trips are a unique element of the academic offer of the College of Europe in Natolin. They provide invaluable field experience of studied themes, and acquaint students with the cultural and historical heritage of visited countries, while allowing them also to benefit from encounters with academics and practitioners, journalists, NGO representatives, civil society members and local policymakers directly involved with issues on the ground.
Although the study trips are largely academic in character – devoting much of the schedule to lectures, debates and conferences – they also incorporate cultural exposure and community bonding elements of equal value. Students interact with local communities, visit local landmarks, and experience local customs over the trips – which take place early in the first semester and midway through the second semester of studies.
About the Campus
A unique campus in a dynamic metropolis
The setting of the College of Europe in Natolin is truly unique: not far from the centre of Warsaw yet resembling country estate. Situated on a nature reserve with an oak forest and wetlands, the Natolin campus offers students a unique opportunity to live close to nature. It is probably the most beautiful setting for an institution of higher education in Europe.
Academic offer
Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies
The advanced Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies provides students with the wider perspective on Europe and prepares them for international careers. It attracts every year students from a wide variety of disciplinary backgrounds including law, economics, political and social sciences, history, journalism, or foreign languages.
The programme is delivered by around 100 leading academics and practitioners from Europe and beyond. Two intensive study trips in Europe and its neighbourhood provide students with exclusive field experience and invaluable knowledge.
The academic programme in the first semester equips students with advanced knowledge to analyse the foundations of European integration. Students specialise in a particular area by taking courses in one of the four thematic majors of the second semester.
Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA)
The two-year Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs, taught in English and offered jointly by the College of Europe (Bruges and Natolin) and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University, Boston area), provides an excellent academic and practice-oriented education regarding the economic, legal and political aspects of transatlantic affairs in a broad sense.
The programme prepares students to work in a broad range of areas relevant to transatlantic relations, including climate change, security, diplomacy, trade, and finance.
Languages and Intercultural Dialogue
Our Languages and Intercultural Dialogue offer was created out of the belief that a multilingual and intercultural education goes hand in hand with developing students’ capacity for reflection, self-assessment and autonomy, along with an awareness and appreciation of cultural differences.
We strive to provide professional foreign language education to Natolin students; promote multilingual and multicultural skills that facilitate mobility, enhance job prospects; and provide a diverse language learning experience in terms of methods and delivery.
Professional Development and Career Orientation
With employers demanding an ever-greater range of competences, the development of professional skills that can be applied to a wide variety of situations is a matter of utmost importance. For most students, the College of Europe in Natolin is their last year of formal education and a springboard into a successful professional career.
We design and implement a professional skilling programme to equip students with the necessary competencies for today's job market. At the same time we help students develop a mature awareness of their competences, acquire knowledge of how and where to apply these and communicate them effectively to their potential employers.
Natolin Nests
The Natolin Nests are unique platforms at the crossroads of academic teaching and research, characterized by extracurricular, professional and student-driven input, with substantial support and involvement of external partners and services of the College of Europe in Natolin.
With our Natolin Nests, we promote student initiatives and in particular welcome attempts that help them tap into the considerable academic and policy expertise that we have established in our consistent areas of interest: Climate and Energy Transition, Migration and Human Rights, Digital Transformation as well as Geostrategy and Religion and Politics.
European Civilisation Chair
The European Civilisation Chair encourages reflection on European history through the conviction that an understanding of Europe's past allows the shaping of Europe's future.
European Neighbourhood Policy Chair
The European Neighbourhood Policy Chair focuses on "Wider Europe" and on the EU's relations with its nearest neighbours, particularly the countries covered by the European Neighbourhood Policy.
Publications
The faculty and staff members at the College of Europe in Natolin produce a large number of academic publications, which are featured in world-renowned peer-reviewed academic journals, or are issued as books by prominent publishing houses.
Executive Education, Training & Projects
The Executive Education at the College of Europe in Natolin offers professional training, including via on-demand programmes tailored to the specific needs of participants, and develops international projects with partners from all over the world.
All trainings contain a carefully crafted mix of knowledge and skills development, delivered by our network of top experts from the academia, public administration, international institutions, media, and other experienced professionals of various trades.

Discover Warsaw

Natolin Library
The Natolin Library supports the College’s academic programme by collecting books, articles, and other publications requested by lecturers, the Academic Chairs, staff members and students. In addition to this core activity, the Natolin Library continues to provide access to the most relevant printed and electronic materials in the field of European integration from publishers recognised worldwide.
The Natolin Library currently holds a collection of over 45,000 books covering all the subjects taught on the campus and many more. It also boasts a large periodicals collection on European Affairs and an extensive collection of electronic and data resources.
