Job vacancy - Academic Assistants in the Department of European Interdisciplinary Studies

The College of Europe - Natolin Campus with its European Interdisciplinary Studies programme is seeking applications for the positions of academic assistants with a starting date of Monday, 17 August 2015 at the latest.

 

We are looking for graduates, holding a Master's degree in political science, international relations or journalism, preferably candidates with a measure of College of Europe experience, with

  • a mention "very good",
  • a very good command of English and French,
  • the ability to work as part of a team,
  • an interest in teaching and research,
  • good organisational skills and
  • a high measure of flexibility (working hours can include evenings or weekends).

 

Tasks include

  • teaching (e.g. giving tutorials, assisting the supervision of Master's theses, providing academic advice to students),
  • being the link between professors and students,
  • assisting professors (e.g. organisational back-up, research, compiling reading lists),
  • organisation (e.g. administration, study trips, guest lectures, conferences),
  • own research and academic writing
