Professor Kataryna WOLCZUK's Expert Comment Published in Chatham House

Professor Kataryna WOLCZUK's expert opinion piece analysing the high-stakes EU Summit in December 2023 (as well as the realities of Viktor Orban's interventions on the EU's dealings with Ukraine) was published on the website of the renowned British think-tank Chatham House.

Professor WOLCZUK's expert piece - entitled 'Orban’s Ukraine gamble is a blow to the EU’s geopolitical ambitions' - was co-authored with Natalie SABANADZE, Senior Research Fellow at the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House. The article - published 19 December - offered an in-depth analysis on the potential benefits and shortcomings of the EU's geostrategic enlargement, amidst the ongoing threat posed by Russia and its War in Ukraine.

Professor WOLCZUK is Chairholder of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, a role she has held since 2023. She is also an Associate Fellow at the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House, amidst other noteworthy roles. Please find her biography here.
