Simulation game: "Foreign Electoral Interference in 2025"

From 14:00 till 18:00
Auditorium Curie-Skłodowska
Natolin (Warsaw) Campus

Following the current geopolitical trends, the Geostrategy Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin organised a disinformation simulation game titled "Foreign Electoral Interference in 2025" moderated by Mr Dominik P. JANKOWSKI, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Delegation of Poland in NATO.

The necessity of the game was connected to the fact that Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) has become a global challenge. Three main strategic adversaries of the United States, the European Union, and NATO – namely Russia, China and Iran – actively sought to influence the outcomes of numerous presidential and parliamentary elections in the transatlantic area and the eastern neighbourhood.

The simulation game is a realistic scenario based on numerous disinformation campaigns which targeted the election processes in Europe and the United States. The participating students were divided into three teams: the EU, the NATO and the United States. The game involved working on a (short- to mid-term) response plan to be implemented before the upcoming electoral cycle.
