On Thursday, 13 October 2022, the European Civilisation Chair of the College of Europe in Natolin had the honour to host a special meeting with Polish historian Mr Marian TURSKI. The event took place in the Auditorium Copernicus and was moderated by Prof. Georges MINK.
Mr TURSKI kindly agreed to share his testimony with our students once more, and after a pause due to the pandemic, he did so in a live session at Natolin. The audience with Mr TURSKI offered the Natolin students the unique opportunity to discuss totalitarianism and the Holocaust with somebody with acute experience of one of the most harrowing periods in modern human history.
In his concluding address, Mr TURSKI spoke candidly about the unfolding events in Ukraine, and the atrocities committed by Russian forces in Bucha as examples of modern-day horrors unravelling before the eyes of the current generation of young people.
