Statement by the Acting Rector of the College of Europe

"Out of a sense of responsibility for the institution and bearing in mind our students, faculty, and employees, for whom the reputation of the College of Europe is as important as it is for me, I have decided to accept the role of Acting Rector of the College of Europe.  

My goal is to lead the College until a new Rector is appointed.  

I will endeavour to strengthen the institutional structure that we have been developing over the years through the mutually enriching cooperation between the campuses contributing to the mission of the College in distinct yet complementary ways. 

I believe the College’s mission is larger than any individual, but it is the collective power of the individuals who work for the College to advance this mission. 

Now, the most important tasks that lie ahead are ensuring stability and credibility of the College and maintaining its operational continuity. 

I agree to take up these duties with due devotion."
