Extra-Curricular Academic Activities

Felipe GONZALES, former Prime Minister of Spain, Chairman of the Reflection Group on the future of Europe, Bruges on 22 September 2009.To complement the academic programme, the Department of European Political and Governance Studies organizes challenging and professionalizing extracurricular academic activities:

  • European Centre for Government Transformation (ECGT) is an initiative in public sector reform established by Accenture, the Lisbon Council and the College of Europe.
  • Europe Outside the Box (EoB) is an extra-curricular debate club.
  • European Health Parliament (EHP) is about connecting students from the College with young health professionals working in Brussels, in order to reshape the European health system.
  • Transparency International aims to raise awareness among the students and interested participants about the challenges of transparency and corruption in the EU’s political life and abroad. 
  • European Horizons is a US-based, non-partisan think-tank, devoted to exploring the meaning of European identity, modernizing and reforming the concept of the social market economy, advancing the cause of European integration, and deepening transatlantic relations.
