Study Trip
Each academic year, the College of Europe organises a Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA) study trip to Brussels. It allows students to meet and exchange with key transatlantic stakeholders working for major European and North American institutions and organisations such as the European External Action Service or the U.S. Mission to the EU.

Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs: Virtual Study Trip “Transatlantic Stakeholders” (18 February 2021)
On 18 February 2021, in the framework of the joint College of Europe-Fletcher School Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA), the College of Europe organised a one-day virtual study trip to allow students an exchange with major transatlantic stakeholders. First- and second-year students of the programme had the chance to engage with representatives of the U.S. Mission to the EU (Brussels), the European External Action Service (EEAS) (Americas division), the European Parliamentary Liaison Office (EPLO) (Washington, DC) and the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMFUS) (Washington, DC).

During the study trip, first- and second-year students of the Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA) had the chance to meet with various stakeholders working on transatlantic relations at the U.S. Mission to the EU, the European External Action Service (U.S. and Canada division), the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and the Mission of Canada to the European Union.

In the framework of the Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA), the College of Europe organised its second study trip to the United States Mission to the European Union in Brussels. This visit consisted of round-tables with high-level counsellors of the Mission. Discussions covered transatlantic topics related to foreign policy and security, trade and economic issues.
