A Vibrant Celebration of Spanish Culture at the College of Europe in Natolin

The College of Europe in Natolin recently hosted a captivating student-led cultural day of Spain, in cooperation with the Student Affairs and Professional Development unit. The event showcased the richness and diversity of Spanish heritage through an array of engaging activities and performances.

Attendees were treated to a cinematic journey through Spanish storytelling with screenings of "While at War" and "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown". A workshop led by Spanish students explored the intersection of language and pop culture, providing insights into Spanish society.

A highlight of the activities was the Castellers workshop, held in collaboration with the Coordinadora de Colles Castelleres de Catalunya. Witnessing the construction of a "Pilar" - a human tower - was not only a visual spectacle but also a testament to the profound significance of this tradition within Spanish culture.

The main day, Friday, 8 March 2024, culminated in a delightful Spanish dinner by the Natolin student restaurant, a heartfelt toast from the Spanish Embassy in Warsaw, and captivating performances by Spanish students and the Flamenco group "Los Payos".
