As we bid farewell to 2023, it is with great pride and satisfaction that we reflect on the achievements of the Executive Education, Training and Projects Office of the College of Europe.
Our focus has been to provide top-notch executive education to professionals, supporting them to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complex landscape of European affairs. From our summer and autumn courses to several tailor-made training programmes implemented throughout the year, the College of Europe in Bruges has continued to support the growth and development of professionals and consolidated its role in executive education on EU affairs.
This year, we have continued working on service contracts and projects in and outside the EU. In particular, aside from continuing our work on the ERMES and El-Hiwar projects, this year marked the completion of the multiannual ‘EU Policy and Outreach Partnership’ project in South America and of the Competition Summer Schools and Weeks in cooperation with national and regional competition authorities in Asia and Africa.
Moreover, we are proud to have supported the preparation of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union by providing training courses to prepare officials (more info here and here).
Lastly, following the successful first phase of the Pilot Programme of the European Diplomatic Academy, the College of Europe in Bruges is currently implementing the second phase of the Programme, following a tender procedure launched by the European External Action Service (EEAS).
As we embark on a new year, the focus of the Training and Projects Office will continue to be on innovation, inclusivity, and adaptability as we navigate the evolving landscape of European affairs.
We extend our gratitude to all partners, experts, participants, trainers and stakeholders who have been part of our journey in 2023. A special thanks to the College of Europe Executive Education, Training and Projects Office team for their resilience, commitment, creativity, and excellent work during the past months.
