Welcome to Natolin

An iconic location, a European story

The College of Europe in Natolin was established in 1992 at the time of the reintegration of the European continent after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Our location in Warsaw, a symbolic place regarding the fate of the continent, allows us to focus on the unfinished adventure of European integration, being always at the cutting edge of the study and research of new trends in the EU and its neighbourhoods.

Every year, our advanced Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies attracts students from all over Europe and beyond who are seeking a truly multicultural experience and an international career.

Mission

Our long-lasting mission at the College of Europe in Natolin has always been to prepare our students to think beyond disciplinary boundaries, beyond preconceptions, to encourage them to build bridges and embrace a wider perspective on Europe and the world.

Our mission began three decades ago with the ambition to overcome the unnatural East-West divide, after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Today, we look more at Europe and its complex neighbourhoods, both facing major external and internal challenges. Many divisions still characterise our continent. With this in mind, we believe that today our mission is more important than ever.

"The College of Europe aims to prepare its students for a life of dedication and service. During their year of studies, our students build together a true community of diversity and mutual respect"
- Ewa Ośniecka-Tamecka – Vice-Rector

A unique campus in a dynamic metropolis

The campus of the College of Europe in Natolin occupies an historic estate and nature reserve of 120 hectares. Once the royal hunting grounds of the King of Poland, the campus remains unto this day a quiet island of green within the vibrant Warsaw metropolis.

A thriving and fast-developing metropolis of 2 million inhabitants and 250,000 students, Warsaw is a rich cultural, political and business hub. It hosts the headquarters of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX and the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

Located in Poland, a country close to the Eastern frontier of the European Union, makes the College of Europe in Natolin an ideal starting point for the exploration of the political and socio-economic impact of the EU in Central and Eastern Europe and in the EU's neighbourhoods.

"Le Collège d’Europe à Natolin c’est plus que le symbole de l’Europe retrouvée, c’est l’espoir qui s’incarne ici, dans ce beau lieu chargé d’histoire. L’espoir que les échanges se multiplient pour plus de compréhension mutuelle et de fraternité."
