Lecture on "The winners and losers of AI. How will AI impact on the labour market?" by Mr Ignacy ŚWIECICKI

The Digital Transformation Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin was pleased to invite Natolin students to a lecture titled "The winners and losers of AI. How will AI impact on the labour market?" by Mr Ignacy ŚWIECICKI, Head of the Digital Economy Team in the Polish Economic Institute.

During the lecture, students explored the profound impact of Artificial Intelligence on the labour market. Mr ŚWIECICKI presented key trends, potential threats, and emerging opportunities in AI, and addressed which jobs are most exposed to automation and how the labour market is adapting. A special focus was placed on Poland’s experience and how AI is reshaping its workforce.

About the speaker:

Mr Ignacy ŚWIECICKI is the Head of the Digital Economy Team in the Polish Economic Institute. He previously served at the Ministry of Digitisation, where he worked on EU regulations on telecommunications, including relations between OTT providers and operators, and international roaming.

Mr ŚWIECICKI has also contributed in preparing regulatory impact assessments of new legal acts and guidelines for carrying out impact assessments in the government legislative process. He gained experience as an analyst at the demosEUROPA – Centre for European Strategy think-tank and he studied economics at the University of Warsaw.
