From 09/02 till 12/02

Belgium

From 9 to 12 February 2015, the Department of European Political and Admistrative Studies will go on its annual study trip to visit the main European institutions in Luxembourg and Strasbourg.

In Luxembourg, the students will visit either the European Investment Bank or the Court of Justice of the EU. In Strasbourg, they will all visit the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, where they will meet two MEPs, Mrs BERES (French, S&D) and Mr SARYUSZ-WOLSKI (Polish, EPP) and a parliamentary assistant. They will also be invited to a reception and a presentation at the City Hall of Strasbourg and at the Region Alsace. They will also visit either the European Court of Human rights or the Eurocorps Headquarters. In addition, they have been invited to attend cultural activities, with a choice between visiting the offices of the Franco-German TV Channel ARTE, a walking tour of Strasbourg, or a visit of the Tomi Ungerer Museum and the Lieu d'Europe.

This study trip will not only provide the opportunity to meet EU professionals and network with Alumni, but will also give the students an insight into the European history of both the City of Strasbourg and the Alsace Region.
