Secretary at the College of Europe, Natolin campus (Warsaw)

The College of Europe, Natolin Campus (Warsaw) is seeking applications for the position of a full time Executive Secretary with a starting date of December 2012 or January 2013 at the latest. The post will be created within the framework of the recently established Chair in European Neighbourhood Policy.

We are looking for professionals with:

  • A Master’s degree;
  • proven relevant work experience;
  • a very good command of English and French (good knowledge of Polish and/or other languages spoken in the European neighbourhood desirable);
  • analytical thinking, judgment and problem solving skills;
  • good organizational skills;
  • ICT skills and the ability to use current IT tools;
  • an ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously, a sense of responsibility and initiative, results-orientation, and a sense for continuous improvement;

Tasks include:

Under the supervision of the Chairholder, the post-holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to the Chair in European Neighbourhood Policy;
  • performing routine secretarial tasks including calendaring, receiving and screening telephone calls;
  • reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence, writing, drafting and processing data, documents and reports, researching and interpreting data and other source material etc.;
  • organizing conferences and meetings;
  • collaborating with the Chair’s Research Assistant;
  • serving as liaison with various services of the College and with partner institutions.

Contributing to the implementation of the objectives of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair, the post-holder will facilitate internal communication, foster co-operation, team spirit and a harmonious working environment with a view to increasing efficiency.
