Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI delivers a lecture at the Museum of Polish History

On 3 April 2024, Professor Richard BUTTERWICK-PAWLIKOWSKI, Chairholder of the European Civilization Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, delivered a lecture dedicated to the memory of Professor Antoni MĄCZAK, a prominent Polish historian of the Early Modern Era.

The lecture, titled "Whom Does the Member of Parliament Represent? Parliamentarians in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and England in the Early Modern Era", focused on English and Polish-Lithuanian parliamentary systems and the important question: Did members of parliament have to listen to their constituents?

The lecture was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw.
