Objectives of the Conference

More than four years after the deployment of the European Green Deal (EGD), this conference aims to critically evaluate its practical consequences in a variety of areas. There are three main objectives that drive this goal.

  1. to facilitate an evaluation of EGD’s accomplishments regarding climate and energy goals.
  2. to contribute to increasing the importance of climate issues in European polity and policies.
  3. to facilitate discussions on the external effects of the EGD. This includes its impact on global markets and on power balance.

The Nest is pleased to announce a call for papers for the student-led conference, with a deadline for abstracts set for 18 February 2024.
