Young Europeans' Forum and Youth Councillors of the Local Municipalities Hosted at Natolin

On 4 April 2024, the College of Europe in Natolin welcomed a group of primary and high school students from Warsaw and surrounding areas, who came together to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of Poland’s EU accession as part of the Young Europeans' Forum. Many of our guests are Youth Councillors in their respective districts, diligently preparing for the European Congress of Youth Councils scheduled for May in Chęciny, Poland.

During an interactive dialogue, Mrs Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA, the Vice-Rector of the College of Europe, shared with our young guests some of Natolin’s passions including EU enlargement, European Studies, diplomacy, and politics. Drawing from her roles as Vice-Rector of the College, and former Secretary of State for European Affairs in the Polish government, and she offered valuable insights into Poland's EU integration process.

The event featured discussions on the advantages of EU membership for young people, featuring input from two Natolin alumni on the panel. Our guests also had the chance to learn about the College of Europe and its mission while exploring the historic premises of Natolin.
