On Wednesday the 25th of May, the Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs programme of the College celebrated its fifth anniversary. For this very special occasion, we had the honor to welcome the US Ambassador to the EU Mr. Mark GITENSTEIN at our Bruges campus while EU Ambassador to the US Mr. Stavros LAMBRINIDIS joined us on screen for an intervention from the United States.
The event in conference Room E of our Dijver site was dedicated to the legacy of Madeleine Albright, the former US Secretary of State who passed away in March of this year. The legacy of Mrs. Albright was highlighted by Rector Federica MOGHERINI and Vice-Rector OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA (from Natolin). MATA students and student representatives Maria BALASCH SOLA and Benjamin RAMOS delivered speeches. The keynote address of US Ambassador GITENSTEIN is available HERE.
