The College of Europe says thank you to its Acting Rector and welcomes its new Rector

On July 1st, 2026, the staff of the College of Europe in Bruges expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Vice Rector Ewa Ośniecka-Tamecka as she concludes her mandate as Acting Rector of the College of Europe, on the very day Dr João Cravinho takes office as the new Rector. Her dedicated and competent leadership ensured the stability of the institution, its integrity, and credibility during the last seven months, through one of the most demanding periods in the College's recent history.

The entire community is thankful to Mrs Ośniecka-Tamecka, who will continue her work for the College as its Vice Rector, responsible for the College of Europe in Natolin, for her commitment to this mission, and it is delighted to welcome Dr Cravinho as the new Rector, sending warm wishes for his mandate.
