15th European Concert

The Local Committee for the College of Europe organised its 15th European Concert at the St. Saviour’s Cathedral of Bruges on Europe Day, Saturday 9 May 2009 at 8.00 p.m. The Minsk String Quartet featured different musical masterpieces. Yuri Gildiuk (piano) and Hedwig Swimberghe (clarinet) were invited to perform as soloists.

Masterpieces of Antonin Dvorak (1841 – 1904) – Czech Republic Antonio Vivaldi (1680 – 1743) – Italy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) – Austria Amongst many others

The profits from ticket sales and sponsorship are donated to the Students' Fund of the College of Europe which is used to provide a scholarship for a Belgian student to study at the College.

A number of sponsors have donated prizes so we have decided to organise a raffle… the winner will be drawn by a representative of the College on the evening of the concert at the reception. First prize: all inclusive brunch for 2 persons at the Apollo Arthotel (Brugge).
