It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that the current promotion invites you to the Hendrik Brugmans Memorial Cup 2016.
The current Chopin Promotion wishes to continue the College tradition of organizing the HBMC tournament, in honour of the College's first rector. The aim is to bring together current students and College alumni across campuses, cultures and generations in a day of rigorous competition and to enhance the connection between past generations and the current students of the College of Europe.
This year, there will be 12 to 15 teams (8 to 9 teams of men 8-a-side – 4 to 6 women teams in a 6-a-side format) fighting it out for the trophy. Teams will not be mixed! It is, at first, only possible to register one team per promotion. If spaces are still free, we will open them up to additional teams per promotion. This is in order to reach as much diversity as possible among the promotions.
We invite you to register your teams by filling in the attached registration team form and e-mail it to brugmans.memorial@coleurope.eu from Thursday 23 March at noon (prior registration will not be taken into account!!). The deadline for registering your teams is 2 April 2016 at noon, and is in principle first come first served until the maximum of teams is reached.
To cover the expenses of the organisation, each team will be asked to pay a registration fee of EUR 30 (payment details will be provided after the organising team has received your registration forms).
After the tournament, a get-together during the evening is scheduled in places you are all familiar with (information will follow very soon)!
