A pleasant surprise for our students and alumni participating in the Hendrik Brugmans Memorial Cup 2019 on Saturday April 13, as they enjoyed the special honour to welcome two professional football players.
Kylian HAZARD, the younger brother of world-class Belgian players and Red Devils Eden and Thorgan HAZARD, and Loïs OPENDA, a young Belgian striker and important member of the Belgium U19 squad, represented Cercle Brugge and Club Brugge to give the kick-off of our annual football tournament.
The cup, honoring the first Rector of the College of Europe, took place on the sports ground De Gulden Kamer in Bruges and is thé sporting event of the year. The Marín promotion was very happy to continue this important and sporty tradition.
The College of Europe would like to thank Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge, our two local teams playing in the first division of Belgian professional football, for their support and we are happy to share the nice article on the official website of Cercle.
