On Wednesday 16 September Mr Jack Bobo from U.S. State Department and expert in the Biotechnology Area visited the Natolin (Warsaw) campus. A presentation was given to the Natolin students on “Addressing Global Challenges of Climate Change and Poverty. The Role of Agricultural Biotechnology.”

Jack Bobo is the Senior Advisor for Biotechnology in the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs (EEB) at the U.S. Department of State. He works on trade policy, food security, and development issues related to agricultural biotechnology with a regional focus on Asia and Europe.

Prior to joining the U.S. State Department, Mr Bobo practiced law at the Washington, D.C. firm of Crowell & Moring, LLP. His education includes a degree in law, a Master of Science in Environmental Science, as well as degrees in chemistry, biology and psychology. Previously, Mr Bobo received a research fellowship in international law at Cambridge University, served as an advisor to the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee, and taught science in Mekambo, Gabon in Central Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
