On 1 March 2018, Professor Remzije ISTREFI from the Faculty of Law at the University of Prishtina in Kosovo delivered a lecture to the students of the College of Europe in Natolin and invited guests entitled "The role of Education in Peace Building Processes".
Professor Remzije ISTREFI focused on the experience of Kosovo, but addressed more broadly the theme of peace as one of the most important values in a human life and the role of education in dealing with the issues from the past and the reconciliation challenges. She discussed the need for Peace Education Programs that would address a wide range of themes including nonviolence, conflict resolution techniques, democracy, disarmament, gender equality, human rights, environmental responsibility, history, communication skills, coexistence, and intercultural understanding and tolerance of diversity.
