Study trip to Geneva of the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies

Date

Sunday 19.03.17

Every year in spring, the students of the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies take part in a 4-day study trip to Geneva, Switzerland. In 2017, the study trip will take place from 19 to 23 March. This annual study trip has been much appreciated by students who strive to have a career in European and international affairs and thus are greatly interested in meeting some of the players in the multilateral diplomacy hub that is Geneva. They will, for instance, visit the EU Delegation to the UN and EU Mission to the WTO, the Palais des Nations European headquarters of the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross as well as think tanks like the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and the World Economic Forum. Students will be able to hear talks and participate in topical debates such as the ‘refugee crisis’, digital diplomacy, human rights or global health diplomacy, as well as meet alumni working in Geneva and enjoy a local cheese fondue.
