Call for applications — New Generation Summit: 10th Anniversary of the Eastern Partnership (27-28/03)

Do you believe that young people should have a bigger say in debates defining the EU’s relations with its closest neighbors to the East? Are you from one of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries, or are you involved and interested in the social, cultural, economic and political developments of the EU’s Eastern neighbours?

Join a group of bright, active and inspiring young minds gathering in Warsaw on 27-28 March 2019, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership, to discuss achievements and future goals of the initiative, as well as to prepare an official declaration including policy recommendations by the New Generation.

The Summit, destined to take place on 27 March, will form a part of a high-level two-day event dedicated to the Eastern Partnership, organised by the College of Europe in Natolin. The event is comprised of the New Generation Summit, a high-level debate on "The Past, Present and Future of the Eastern Partnership" between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland and Sweden, with participation of the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, and a one-day conference with high-level representatives from the European Commission, the European External Action Service, academia, think tanks, and civil society organisations from both EU and EaP countries. It is to them that the participants of the New Generation Summit will present their conclusions and policy recommendations, thus introducing a new, crucial perspective to current debates on the future of the EaP.

The selected participants of the Summit will be divided into 4 thematic working groups, dedicated to the four EaP platforms:

  • Economic development and market opportunities;
  • Strengthening institutions and good governance;
  • Connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change;
  • Mobility and people-to-people contacts.

The Summit is organised by the European Neighbourhood Policy Student Society of the European Interdisciplinary Studies programme and it will take place at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe (Warsaw).
