Closing ceremony of the training courses for Croatian civil servants involved in the first Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The College of Europe Development Office is pleased to announce that all the training sessions taking place in the framework of the first Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union have been implemented. The closing ceremony was held in Zagreb on 17 December 2019.

Croatia joined the European Union in July 2013 and is the newest member of the Union. The first Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will start on 1 January 2020 and will last until 30 June 2020.

More than 1,000 Croatian civil servants have been trained on negotiations, chairing meetings and communication and have also received French and English language classes. Highly-qualified trainers delivered trainings in Zagreb and in Brussels to strengthen the skills of the Croatian civil servants.

The College of Europe would like to thank its Croatian partner Projectus Grupa and the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a very fruitful collaboration during the implementation of the courses and wishes them a successful Presidency.

This project is financed by the European Social Fund (ESF).
