The College of Europe Development Office, together with the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, has been awarded with a grant contract from the EU to provide “support to civil service EU trainings and establishment of a Centre of Excellence in EU Matters in Azerbaijan”. The project was launched via a special event on 7 April 2014 to which representatives of the Diplomatic Academy, the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan and the College of Europe were present. Many activities are expected to be rolled out in the framework of this project. Following a training needs analysis, a training of trainers has been envisaged as the first activity. This will take place this week (9-13 June 2014) in Azerbaijan and will consist in developing the training skills of around 60 professionals.
