The College of Europe Development Office was very proud to implement from 22 to 26 April 2019, the third edition of the diplomatic and executive training courses of the EU-funded project "EU Policy and Outreach Partnership – South America" in Colombia.
Students of the Academia Diplomática Augusto Ramírez Ocampo attended a five-day course to better understand the EU, its institutions and its policies. The Diplomatic Course covered topics such as the EU in a new world order, the Europeanisation of policies and the public sphere, the EU strategy to overcome the challenge of fake news, and EU foreign policy. The course ended with a simulation of a Council negotiation.
In addition, on Wednesday 24 April, a group of journalists attended an Executive Training which aimed at providing tools and tips to find reliable information about the EU and understand how the EU is addressing the challenge of misinformation and fake news.
The project is funded by the EU and managed by the Organization of Ibero-American States.
