Dr Alex DOWDALL, Post-doctoral Research Fellow of the EP Geremek Chair of European Civilisation at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe was invited to deliver a paper at the international conference: "Population Displacement in Lithuania and Europe: From World War One to World War Two", organized by the History Faculty of Vilnius University on 28-29 May 2015.
Dr DOWDALL presented a paper entitled "Citizenship on the Move: Refugees and the State in Europe, 1914-1918", which compared population displacement in First World War France with the situation elsewhere in Europe. An abstract can be found here.
