Dr Dimitris BOURIS co-organized the workshop: ‘The EU and Contested Statehood in its Neighbourhood: Actorness, Presence and State-Building’

Between 29 March and 2 April 2015, Dr Dimitris BOURIS, Research Fellow at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, co-organized with Professor Dimitris PAPADIMITRIOU (University of Manchester, UK) the workshop ‘The EU and Contested Statehood in its Neighbourhood: Actorness, Presence and State-Building’ at the ECPR Joint Sessions of Workshops at the University of Warsaw.

      

The workshop focused on the different tools, policies, and mechanisms that the EU has deployed throughout the years as a way of addressing contested statehood situations that arose both in its own territory and in its near abroad.
