Dr LONGHURST at the international conference "The Eastern Partnership Under Strain: Time for a Rethink?" held at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University

Dr Kerry LONGHURST, Senior Researcher at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe, recently took part as a speaker at the annual international EURINT conference "The Eastern Partnership Under Strain: Time for a Rethink?" held on 20-21 May 2016 at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Romania.

The prestigious conference, which was opened by Poland's former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Radek SIKORSKI, was a timely forum to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the EU's relationship with the EaP states and to consider how European policy could be recalibrated to suit the changing realities in the neighbourhood.

Dr LONGHURST chaired the working panel on Moldova and also presented a paper on the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement and the role of Moldovan Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as stakeholders in this process.
