Dr Zachary MAZUR published an article in the Polish journal Historyka: Studia Metodologiczne

Dr Zachary MAZUR, Research Fellow in the European Civilization Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, recently published the article "How to Kill Ghosts: Polish Aristocrats during the First World War".

The article, published in the Polish journal Historyka: Studia Metodologiczne, provides a unique narrative account of how people imagined the future during the Great War. He argues that the creation of constitutional republics after the war was not a foregone conclusion. Until the very end, it seemed as though monarchies would continue to rule Europe. Dr MAZUR also addresses methodological issues in the field of history, such as how the past can be represented given the limitations of sources and the written medium.
