EU Economic Governance course in October 2017

Mr Jesús Ballesteros, Director of the College of Europe Development Office, has reflected on the recent EU Economic Governance reforms:

“The financial crisis has produced massive changes in the EU’s economic governance. With the introduction of the European semester, the Banking Union and the European Central Bank’s interventions into the financial markets, the European Union has become much more involved in the economic governance of its Member States. And at the same time, it has created an ever complex governance system with multi-layered rules.

Our idea was to design an interactive course that will help you to better understand how it works; what are the main challenges, mechanisms and institutional framework of these reforms.

A unique opportunity to get a clear understanding and concrete tools on how to deal with these processes trough lectures, a key note speech and a workshop by both practitioners and academics."
