European Centre for Government Transformation - Jury Meeting

The participants of the European Centre for Government Transformation project (ECGT) presented the preliminary findings of their case studies in a high-level Jury Meeting in Brussels on 23 February 2017.

Students from the European Political and Administrative Studies department – divided into teams – presented the preliminary findings in three on-going state-agency transformation case studies. Each of the teams spent several months interacting with a top public-service organisation. This year, the agencies to be studied were selected among the winners of the iCapital Award, given by the European Commission’s DG research and innovation.

After carrying out site visits in November 2016, the students presented their recommendations on 26 February 2015 to a high-level jury, chaired by Gertrud INGESTAD, director-general, informatics, of the European Commission. The three teams had each 10 minutes to present the problems they have analysed and the preliminary recommendations they have reached. The presentations were followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Jury members were encouraged to challenge the students on their assumptions, working methods and preliminary conclusions.
