French Training for OIF in Estonia and IGPDE in Paris

As part of a partnership programme with the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) entitled "The French Language in Diplomacy and Public Service," the Development Office of the College of Europe organized a training course for Estonian officials on 22 and 23 May 2014. Lead by Dr Thierry CHOPIN, this training was on "The European Parliament and its Role in the Decision Making Process of the European Union." A total of sixteen Estonian officials from various ministries were trained on the political system of the European Union, the role of key institutions and the European Parliament in the decision-making process of the European Union.

Dr Thierry CHOPIN will deliver another training in French on 12 and 13 June 2014 in the framework of a project for which the College of Europe has been selected by the Institute for Public Management and Economic Development (IGPDE) to develop and deliver training in European affairs to French officials of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The first training will take place in Paris on the theme "The Essence of the European Union."
