Meeting of the Student Transparency Group with Transparency International EU

On 22 May 2019, the students of the Transparency Group, an extracurricular student group organised by the Department of European Political and Governance Studies, presented their research on a number of selected topics at the office of Transparency International EU (TI EU).

The students were received by Leo HOFFMANN-AXHELM, alumnus of the department (Voltaire Promotion), for a tour of the office and a short presentation of TI EU's work. The students then presented their research to a number of representatives of TI EU. Their research focused on access to documents, transparency in lobbying efforts in the collaborative economy sector and the proposal for the European Values Instrument — a proposal for supporting civil society organizations that work at the local and national level to promote democracy, freedom, rule of law and fundamental rights.

Congratulations to the students of the group for actively contributing to awareness about these issues, and thank you to TI EU for their support!
