Natolin students participation in study visit to Ukraine

From 7 to 15 of March 2009 the Natolin students following the thematic majors “EU as a Regional Actor” and “EU as a Global Actor”, participated in study visit to Ukraine.

The students had the possibility to meet with politicians, researchers and NGOs’ representants.

One of the guest speakers was Mr. Borys Tarasyuk, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Students also met young Ukrainian professionals active in EU affairs as well as College alumni working now in Ukraine in various sectors such as business, administration and foreign embassies.

Students experienced and discovered Ukrainian history and culture. In Kiev the students visited Pechersk Lavra (Monastery of the Caves) and Saint Sophia Cathedral. In Lviv, the city on the crossroads of cultures, the students visited the Armenian, Greek Orthodox (St. George Cathedral) and Catholic (Latin Cathedral) cathedrals, the historic town centre (UNESCO heritage) and the Lychakivskiy Cemetery.
