"P2P Challenging Extremism" student competition

After the great success of last year — where the team EUnited Against Extremism reached the final stage of the global competition “Peer to Peer – Challenging Extremism”, sponsored by the US Department of State and Facebook — a team of students from the College of Europe Bruges campus is again participating in this initiative in spring 2017. The project consists in designing and implementing a real communication campaign aimed at raising awareness among young people on the issue of radicalisation. The new multinational student team, that goes by the name “YEP – Young European Perspectives”, is composed of Beata THOR, Alba BROJKA, Johannes KLEIN, Jessica NI MHAININ, Nino PRUIDZE, Yuliia SUDZILOVSKA, Matti TETREV, Gautier UCHIYAMA, Moritz ZIMMERMANN (all from the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies) and Héloïse DUBOIS (from the Department of European Economic Studies). The team, coordinated by the IRD Academic Assistant Tommaso EMILIANI, is currently developing its ideas on countering extremism among peers.
