Recent activities of Professor Tobias SCHUMACHER, Chairholder of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair

Professor Tobias SCHUMACHER, Chairholder of the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin participated in the MEDRESET annual conference in Barcelona "Geopolitics of a Multipolar Mediterranean", on 18-20 April 2017, where he gave a presentation in the panel "A New Role for the EU in the Mediterranean?".

The MEDRESET project, which runs over a period of three years, aims to reset the understanding of the Mediterranean and develop alternative visions for a new partnership and corresponding EU policies, reinventing a future role for the EU as an inclusive, flexible, and responsive 'actor' in the region. The ENP Chair at Natolin is leading the work package focusing on the EU’s construction of the (Euro-) Mediterranean (space). More information on the MEDRESET project can be found here.

On 16 May 2017, Professor SCHUMACHER spoke at the international workshop "The EU’s Role in the South Caucasus", which was held at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Professor SCHUMACHER gave also an interview to esglobal – a Spanish foreign affairs magazine on the state of European Studies in times of crisis.
