Rector Paul DEMARET undertook a mission to Tokyo, Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzen and Hong Kong in November in order to raise awareness of the College of Europe amongst colleagues and students.
In Tokyo, meetings and speeches were organised at Hitotsubashi University and Keio University, and meetings took place at the Delegation of the European Union.
In Beijing, the rector met with colleagues from Peking University and spoke to an audience of students at the China Foreign Affairs University.
In Wuhan and Shenzen, meetings with colleagues and speeches to students took place at the Central China Normal University and the Peking University School of Transnational Law.
The round trip ended in Hong Kong with visits to the University of Hong Kong, the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China and the Hong Kong Baptist University where he gave a speech to students and university colleagues.
