The Rector is currently on a trip to Zagreb, Istanbul and Ankara. The purpose of his trip is to promote the College of Europe.
In Zagreb he will meet H.E. Ambassador Paul Vandoren, Alumnus and Head of the Delegation of the EU in Croatia as well as President Ivo Josipović. Furthermore, the Rector will meet alumni, representatives of the University of Zagreb and representatives of the Ministries of Science, Education & Sports and Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
In Istanbul, a meeting is planned with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople.
In Ankara, the Rector will be hosted by H.E. Mr Pol De Witte, Ambasssador of Belgium in Turkey. Meetings are being planned with representatives of Ankara University, Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University & Hacettepe University as well as with Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator H.E. Egemen Bağış, Acting Secretary General Ambassador Mr Haluk Ilıcak and the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof Dr Yusuf Ziya Özcan.
